I'm a singer-songwriter in the traditional pop sense, working with classic structures, but incorporating surreal images into the lyrics. Musically I cover a strange range - psychedelic sounds and electronic noise, cabaret piano. In live performance, which of course is what we're looking at for 48 Stunden, my act is fairly simple. I sing and play guitar and piano. On a good night, there's an element of comedy to my performance. I see what I do as never quite underground nor mainstream, but somewhere in the hinterland.
Important projects / Exhibitions:
I've released 23 albums of original material on over a dozen independent record labels and I've written and produced two albums for California singer Allyson Seconds. I've collaborated with many musicians, many of whom are far more known than I am. Recently I've joined a French band called Salt and have been recording at Abbey Road in London.
Awards / Prizes :
I've won many "Sammie" awards in my hometown of Sacramento, for Best Album, Best Songwriter etc. I was inducted into the local Hall of Fame after I moved to Europe. Perhaps the weirdest thing ever was having a 23-hour "Anton-a-thon" thrown in my honor, with many Sacramento-area musicians covering my songs over the course of the aforementioned 23 hours.
